Microsoft Ends Support For Windows XP
Microsoft has decided to stop
giving all kinds of support for Windows XP, April 8, 2014 onwards. They
are started giving message to the XP users for switching to Windows 7
or 8 as soon as possible. They are showing causes for shifting to newer
edition operating systems. As their developers are stop working on
Windows XP, its security became very unstable.
Malware’s are the most common threat in
today’s web world, so the chances are increased for Windows XP to get
affected by them than newer versions of Microsoft windows. The report
shows that the rate of incident decreased with machines using 32 or
64-bit Windows 7 or Windows 8.
So as per Microsoft the solution is
moving to newer versions of Windows as early as you can. Microsoft will
provide full support for Windows 7 till January 2015 and after that they
will provide only basic updates. They also provide an option for
subscription which allows you to get support for Windows 7 till January
2020.
